A Time to Celebrate, A Time to Double Down

Join us in honoring our 2022 Tom Webb Memorial Peacemaker of the Year recipient: Vivian Zelaya. Vivian is a local Catholic organizer dedicated to the support of Palestinian rights, nuclear disarmament, preventing violence in Latin America, and other efforts for peace and justice in this country and abroad. Learn more about her life and work.

Featuring Key Note Speaker Johnny Zokovich, the executive director of Pax Christi USA, together with Program Director Roxana Bendezú who will share the groups ongoing work through the past 50 years and what’s needed from us now.

We will pray together for peace and justice in Christian meditation led by Donna Lack from the Oakland Benedictine urban contemplative community, Hesed.

Rev. George C.L. Cummings, Founding Pastor of the Imani Community Church in Oakland, Executive Director of Faith in Action East Bay will be sharing the Ceasefire Violence Reduction model to reduce homicides by guns.

Newman Hall is a handicap accessible building.

Registration and continental breakfast from 8:30 to 9:00.

Transportation Hourly parking at Underhill Parking Garage at Haste and Channing Way., 2550 Channing Way. Some street parking available. Handicap only parking available at Newman.
